Can sublimation work on cotton ?

I believe that many of you who are just starting to do sublimation printing custom T-shirts will encounter this problem:

Can sublimation work on cotton?

Firstly,Do you know what is sublimation shirt printing ?

Sublimation shirt printing is a specific process of printing that first involves printing onto a special sheet of paper, then transferring that image onto another material (usually polyester or a polyester mix).

The ink is then heated until it disintegrates into the fabric.

The process of sublimation shirt printing costs more than other methods, but it lasts longer, and will not crack or peel over time, like other shirt printing methods.

So sublimation can using on cotton,but can not used on 100% cotton,because the sublimation transfer printing does not show the original bright color of the pattern on the 100% cotton fabric, it will also fade after washing.

What process should be used for 100% cotton fabric shirt ?

For 100% t shirt, The following techniques are for your reference

1.DTG printing:Directly printing on cotton t shirt.

No media transfer is required, the process of printing directly on the fabric, but the cost is not low

2.Heat transfer :heat transfer paper ,and heat transfer vinyl

Need to cutting and transfer on fabrics

3.DTF printing:this is the new Technology in this two years

It is printing on film without cutting ,after transfer on t shirt
