Under normal circumstances, the "ink out" light will be on when the ink has been used up. After replacing the new ink cartridge, the "ink out" light on the printer panel is still on. This fault may occur, for example, the ink cartridge is not installed properly, or the old ink cartridge may be removed and replaced with a new ink cartridge when it is turned off. After replacing the ink cartridge, the printer will fill the ink delivery system, and this process cannot be carried out when the printer is turned off, so the printer cannot detect the reinstalled ink cartridge. In addition, some printers use the electronic counter inside the printer to count the ink volume (especially in the statistics of color ink usage). When the counter reaches a certain value, the printer judges that the ink is exhausted. During cartridge replacement, the printer will reset its internal electronic counter to confirm that a new cartridge is installed.

Solution: turn on the power and move the print head to the cartridge replacement position. After the ink cartridge is installed, let the printer fill the ink. After the ink filling process, troubleshoot the problem.

3. Treatment of nozzle soft plug

Soft plug plugging refers to the broken line fault caused by the increase of ink viscosity on the nozzle due to various reasons. Generally, the original ink box can be recovered after repeated cleaning, but this method wastes too much ink. The simplest way is to use the empty ink cartridge in your hand to clean the nozzle. Before cleaning with an empty ink cartridge, use a needle to extract the residual ink in the cartridge as much as possible, the cleaner the better, and then add Zhihe 961 cleaning solution. 961 cleaning fluid is specially developed for Epson, which is divided into the liquid a and liquid B.

Liquid a has strong cleaning power. It is used for the treatment of medium plugs, but it cannot stay in the nozzle for a long time. The cleaning ability of liquid B is weak, but the safety factor is high. This liquid can be cashed with 2 (liquid B): 1 (Epson red or blue ink). The cashed half-color ink is used for the half-color ink of the Epson photo ink cartridge. Fill the cleaning solution in a clean environment. Press the normal operation of the printer to put the ink cartridge filled with cleaning solution on the machine, and constantly press the cleaning key of the printer to clean it. Use the light color mixed with residual ink and cleaning solution in the ink cartridge for the printing test. After it is normal, replace the ink cartridge and use it.

4. Treatment of nozzle hard plug

A hard plug refers to the plug caused by chemical solidification or impurities in the nozzle. It is difficult to eliminate this fault and must be handled manually. First, remove the nozzle, immerse the nozzle in liquid a and clean it with reverse suction and pressure. After washing, use pure water to clean the cleaning solution. After drying, you can install the machine. As long as the hard objects do not damage the nozzle electrodes, the cleaned nozzle is still good.
